Recently, I went on a spiritual journey from Pune to the Adiyogi, Isha Foundation in Coimbatore, and it was a truly transformative experience. Here’s a detailed account of my trip, including useful tips and insights to help you prepare for your visit if you are planning one very soon. Which you should!
Journey Details- Adiyogi, Isha Foundation, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
Flight and Road Travel:
We took a flight from Pune to the newly renovated Bangalore International Airport. The eco-friendly features of the airport were impressive and it's a beautiful place worth exploring if you have a layover.
From Bangalore, we had an 8-9 hour car journey to Coimbatore. Our driver, Irfan Anna, was highly skilled, ensuring a smooth and safe trip. Let me know if you want his contact number.
Alternative Routes:
Alternatively, you can fly directly from Mumbai to Coimbatore and then take a cab to the Isha Foundation, which might save you time and effort.

Arriving at Adiyogi, Isha Foundation, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
We arrived at the Adiyogi, Isha Foundation, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu at 8:30 PM, just in time for the last batch of dinner. Here are some key points to keep in mind:
Check-in Process:
The check-in process can be lengthy, so be patient. If you arrive late, head to the "Welcome Point" for assistance.
Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere:
The volunteers and staff address everyone (I mean us, the visitors) as "Akka" (elder sister) or "Anna" (elder brother), are incredibly warm and welcoming.

Try to see all the above places/follow the above time-table. I promise, you will not regret a single moment. Just be ready to walk and move around this huge premise with a lot of patience, a smile on your face, folded hands and tons of thankfulness within you.

The campus is vast, and you can use bullock carts, buses, and battery-operated carts for transportation. Be prepared for a lot of walking.
Dining:
Besides the Bhiksha Hall, which offers satvik food with strict timings and no phone usage (this is included in the stay package), there are two other restaurants serving delicious South Indian dishes (you have to pay for whatever you eat there)

Spiritual Experiences
Dhyanalinga and Linga Bhairavi:
Visit the Dhyanalinga, a large meditative space, and the Linga Bhairavi temple. Attend the "Devi Abhishekam" ritual at Linga Bhairavi from 7:40 AM to 7:55 AM, a mesmerizing experience with mantra chants.
Theerthakund:
Don't forget to carry extra clothes for a dip in the Theerthakund, a holy water body, which is open from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM.
Adiyogi Shiva Statue:
The Adiyogi Shiva Statue is awe-inspiring. Be sure to witness the light and sound show at 6:50 PM daily. Arrive early to secure a good spot. The show is a moving experience, beautifully blending technology and spirituality.

Tips for Visitors
Stay Duration:
I highly recommend staying for at least two days. A single day might not be enough to explore and understand the place fully.
Respect the Environment:
Maintain silence and follow rules, especially in the sacred areas.
Essentials:
Wear comfortable, modest clothing suitable for a spiritual environment. Carry water, extra clothes, and essential items like an umbrella or cap.
Light Show:
The light show, a 3D laser experience narrated by Sadhguru, is a highlight. It’s free and highly recommended.

Visiting the Isha Foundation was an enriching experience that connected me deeply with nature and spirituality. From the serene surroundings to the spiritual activities, every moment spent there was precious and transformative. If you're planning a visit, these tips will help you navigate the premises and make the most of your spiritual journey.
We went to explore the other parts of South India like: Coonoor, Ooty, Mysuru.
